The latest news about product updates and everything else related to Fanurio.
September 27, 2026
Since version 3.3.2, released on July 22, 2021, Fanurio has come in two macOS versions: one for Intel Macs and one for Apple silicon Macs (M1 and later). Earlier versions come only in the Intel version.
If you use an earlier version on an Apple silicon Mac, you can still run it with Rosetta 2, Apple's tool that lets Intel apps run on Apple silicon.
How to set it up
Install Fanurio as usual and open it.
If Rosetta isn't installed yet, macOS asks you to install it. Click Install and enter your password when asked.
You can also install it yourself by running this command in Terminal:
softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
Open Fanurio again.
Apple explains this in If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac.
Good to know
The first launch takes a bit longer, because macOS translates the app. After that it starts normally.
The Intel version uses a bit more memory and power on Apple silicon than the native version does.
Important: This only works for a limited time. Apple has announced that macOS 27 is the last version with full Rosetta support. Starting with macOS 28, which is expected in late 2027, Rosetta will only run a limited set of older games, so Intel-only apps, including older versions of Fanurio, are expected to stop working on Apple silicon Macs.
We recommend moving to the Apple silicon version of Fanurio (3.3.2 or later) before you upgrade to macOS 28. Back up your data first, then download the version marked for Apple silicon. If you have any questions, please contact us.
